PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Development Executive to join our fast-paced Product Development team. You will assist in the control and coordination of our product range from suppliers, ensuring finished goods are supplied on time to our warehouse. On a daily basis you will liaise with various stakeholders from suppliers and test houses to JML’s various internal departments and international divisions. Under the guidance of the Senior Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for taking ownership of the complete lifecycle of the product. This will include product sourcing; generating cost sheets; creating product presentations, coordinating functional testing of product samples; undertaking market research and competitor analysis; product certification, writing product briefs and post sales follow up with suppliers.
This is a challenging role which would suit someone with previous experience in new product development with technical or manufacturing knowledge and relevant qualification (e.g. Product Management, Industrial/Product Design, Engineering, Technology). It is an exciting and diverse role which entails a combination of buying, product development, marketing and compliance.
To do this job well, you will need to be a strong team player, can multi-task, with the ability to manage several products concurrently with minimal supervision, and have a “can do” attitude. Candidates should also possess a flair for innovation and first-class communication skills including report writing. Attention to detail and persistence are also crucial as everything depends on getting it right the first time. Experience and understanding of buying, broadcast advertising compliance, and/or product compliance (such as RoHS and CE) would be an advantage.
