| " I bought one from Makro. The fan broke after 9 months of heavy use. So I bought another from JML. This is a marvellous item in anybody's kitchen. Any cook book can be used with it, just adjust the cooking times/temperatures. For instance, I cook a garlic baguette, from frozen, in the same time that the cooking instructions state, except I lower the oveb temp. by 50 degrees. Instead of 12 mins at 200, I do it for 12 mins at 150, and it is beautiful, nice and crisp outside. I have never managed to get them to taste like this in my conventional gas oven. I would wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone. Just try frozen oven chips in it, mmmm, lovely. " - Anonymous |

| " The timer was a somewhat inaccurate mechanical timer, that can't be turned back once set, and it only goes up to 60 minutes! maybe it could be a digital clock instead. | " This is a fantastic second oven! I absolutely love it! The only stupid and pointless thing about it is the self-washing function. Is very much a waste of time and effort as you have to take the bowl to the sink to put the water and soap in, take the bowl back to the base unit (the white thing the bowl goes in) then when the washing is done take the bowl back to the sink to rinse it out so the next meal doesn't taste of washing-up liquid and finally (when it is dry) putting it back on the base unit! If you don't put enough water in then whole of the inside of the bowl doesn't get washed and too much water in it causes it to overflow. It is much easier and much more simple to just take the bowl to the sink and wash it up there and when it's dry put it back on the base ready for the next time you wnat to use it. it's a lot less hassle and aggrievation!

| " if i could rate this myself i would give it 10000000 and so on i have had mine now for about a year and it is in constant use. my conventional oven hardly gets used now. every time i cook dinner my meat gets cooked in it. from frozen beef to lamb chops and more. i have recomended this to all my friends and family. i have even seen myself in a shop and told complete strangers about it and they have bought one then and there when they have seen me later they make a point in telling me that they were glad they listend to me and that they talked to some one that has had one if you are thinking of haveing one get one you won't look back. I've only been using mine for a few days so far and the plate is getting very dirty. I spoke to one of the customer service staff about this and they told me that all I could do was to wipe it oiver after every use. However after buying the halogen oven I cook pretty much every day as it is so easy to use, you rarley have to check your food and the end result is marvelous, food tastes so much better compared to an ordinary oven/grill.
I am moving out this year to go to university so I am definatly going to buy another one to use while I am living there, because there is no chance my mom will let me have hers!
If you are thinking of buying one then seriously you should, it is incredible value for money (only 60 quid) and cooks up some great tasting feasts.
The cookbook which came free with it offers a large variety of different starters, mains and deserts to cook, I have already attempted some of them which to my amazment was so easy to cook.

I have not returned to my main oven since acquiring this. I am only cooking for myself but the results have been good enough to encourage me to try more adventurous dishes than normal and have even started baking cakes and bread. Even my sister is impressed! I am very happy to recommend this to others. Excellent product but would recommend the stand and the insurance to cover further top breakages. | " Cooking wise first class, only complaint is the tongs are absolute rubbish as you have to have large hands to use them, I have tried and tried to pick the racks up when full of food with no success I intend to invest in the oven mitt advertised to over come this drawback also the holes in the rack should be criss crossed so chips do not fall through.apart from that the oven it's self is a cracker. well done. | " I can honestly say that i've never looked back since buyng this oven, when i first started using it i nearly jumped out of my skin with the light as i didn't expect it to be that bright but i tried my first dish in it i cooked a chicken and was very pleased with the results. It's so easy to use and after a while it becomes second nature to you, it cooks to perfection and as each day passes i'm learning new dishes to cook. My poor cooker and microwave are redundant now and hardly used, I would definatly recommend this halogen oven. " - Miss karen martin |

| " I have only had it for 3 days and I haven't yet used my oven. I've baked my own fruit cake and scones and today I'm going to attempt a roast dinner in it. So far I haven't had any problems but the only criticism I have got is that the cookbook does not have enough simple everyday recipes in it. Please bring out a good cookbook for the halogen oven.
